Wrestling

OU falls to No. 14 Lehigh: No. 11 Oklahoma dropped its first of two duals this weekend when it fell to No. 14 Lehigh, 21-14, Friday night in Lehigh, Pa.

With the loss at Stabler Arena, OU drops to 6-5 on the year in dual competition.

Four Sooners nabbed individual wins as Cody Brewer, Kendric Maple, Matt Lester and Bubby Graham each walked off the mat with victories.

Oklahoma will conclude the weekend Sunday afternoon when it travels to Blacksburg, Va., to tackle No. 9 Virginia Tech in its second-to-last dual of the season.

Tennis

Tulsa men fall to North Carolina: The University of Tulsa men's team, ranked No. 24 in the country, lost 4-3 to No. 18 North Carolina during the first round at the National Indoors on Friday in Urbana, Ill.

The Golden Hurricane (0-3) will face either host Illinois or Tennessee at 3 p.m. Saturday in a consolation match.

OU women fall to Arizona State: The No. 44 Oklahoma women's team lost 5-2 to No. 35 Arizona State on Friday in its opening match of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Miami, Fla.

Oklahoma will face Hawaii Saturday at 9 a.m. in the consolation match.

Football

East Central player named to all-star game: East Central University senior Armonty Bryant has earned a spot on the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Challenge game. Bryant has also been invited to the 2013 NFL Combine.

The game is at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 2 in Allen, Texas, and will be aired on Fox Sports Oklahoma. Bryant has earned a spot on the Texas team since he is from Wichita Falls, Texas.

Bryant is one of more than 100 players selected to participate in the all-star game.

Bryant ended his career with 27.5 sacks, the most in school history. As a senior, he recorded 10.5 sacks while adding 54 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, two blocked kicks and two fumble recoveries (53 yards).

Penn State says Sandusky settlements appear close: Penn State's negotiator for civil claims involving former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky said Friday the school has been in talks with 28 people and settlement discussions with some claimants could soon produce results.

Ken Feinberg told The Associated Press that the talks have gone well and he is hopeful they will yield settlements in the coming weeks.
