We told you recently about the five Tulsa chefs named in the new book "Best Chefs America."

On Friday, the names of the remaining Oklahoma chefs were released. We thought you might want to know who they are in case you venture out of the city for a bite to eat.

And Sam Bracken of The Canebrake is just a short drive away in Wagoner.

The book will be released March 1, and 25 Oklahoma chefs are included.

The chefs were nominated by their peers.

From March through December, Best Chefs America analysts conducted more than 5,000 confidential telephone interviews with chefs who were nominated by other chefs, culinary professionals and food enthusiasts.

The results were compiled into a 386-page guide, appearing in a coffee table format, listing approximately 4,800 chefs and their corresponding restaurants throughout the country. Sections are broken down geographically and alphabetically.

"Best Chefs America" costs $75 and can be purchased at BestChefsAmerica.com.
