Letter to the Editor: We're No 1?

Tulsa often comes out second-best when compared to Oklahoma City, but a lot of that is our fault. We already live in the most densely populated county in the state.

What would it take for Tulsa to become Oklahoma's largest city? Apparently, not much. We'd just have to expand our city limits to something approximating Oklahoma City's. If we went from our present 197 square miles to OKC's 606 square miles, we'd be No. 1. Matter of fact, we could do it with our county's 587 square miles because herein live 610,599 people, to Oklahoma City's smaller 591,967. Not that this will happen, but it's nice to know who's really No. 1.
