Locally owned wig shop opens in south Tulsa

Locally owned Wigs & More recently opened at 81st Street and Harvard Avenue in the Walnut Creek Shopping Center.

The shop sells modern wigs, pony tails, clip-in hair and more and features private fitting rooms. Owner Sherry Adams has more than 20 years of experience.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, according to the shop's website.

TDW hosts grand opening of Utah site

Tulsa-based T.D. Williamson, a worldwide provider of equipment and services for operators of pressurized piping systems, recently hosted a grand opening at its new Global Pipeline Integrity Center in Salt Lake City.

Situated in the Salt Lake International Center just five minutes from the airport, the 144,000-square-foot facility doubles the TDW footprint in Salt Lake City.

In addition to serving as a global hub for inline inspection, the center showcases TDW pigging products, including launchers and receivers, and pipeline services such as cleaning and non-destructive evaluation. It also enables future growth, including the addition of a data center, customer and employee training facility, and pipeline test equipment for inline inspection tools.

Ag department seeks nominees for Hall of Fame

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry is accepting nominations for the Governor's Outstanding Achievement Award in Agriculture.

The award recognizes those who have helped lead the industry while demonstrating exemplary personal values and pursuing agricultural achievements in Oklahoma. The award winner is inducted into the Oklahoma Agricultural Hall of Fame located at the agency headquarters in Oklahoma City.

Eligible nominees can be involved with livestock and crop production, agribusiness, forestry, horticulture, and nursery management.

The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Feb. 19. A committee of representatives from agricultural commodity organizations and farm and ranch organizations will select recipients. The nomination form can be found at tulsaworld.com/odaffhof

Chamber seeks nominations for small biz awards

The nomination deadline for the Tulsa Regional Chamber's Crystal Star Small Business Awards for 2013 awards is fast approaching.

Chamber-member businesses can nominate a leading Tulsa-region small business by Feb. 4. A nomination packet is due by March 25.
