Letter to the Editor: Prudent

The Tulsa World is critical of Rep. Jim Bridenstine's opposition to the Sandy-relief bill on the contention that the way to assist those who suffered is to increase the national debt. ("No, again," Jan. 17). With a budget in the trillions of dollars it is difficult to believe that there is no way to provide aid to Sandy victims without additional borrowing.
Bridenstine was as willing as anyone to help our friends in the Northeast but wanted to do so in a fiscally prudent way.
