Childs commits: Oklahoma State found its second running back for the Class of 2013 on Jan. 20, when Houston Cypress Ridge star Rennie Childs committed to the Cowboys after his weekend visit.

"I was looking for an offense that I could fit in, one where I knew what they were doing," Childs told GoPokes.com. "I was looking for a place I could call home and a place that made me feel like home. I found it this weekend."

OSU's other running back commit is Corion Webster of Atlanta, Texas.

Four visit Stillwater: Following last weekend's major recruiting weekend, four players who are committed to OSU visited campus this weekend: Emporia, Kan., receiver Jerel Morrow; Snow Community College (Salt Lake City, Utah) defensive tackle Ofa Hautau; Hurst (Texas) Bell defensive end Vili Levini; and All Saints (Fort Worth, Texas) deep snapper Kaleb Smith.

OSU also had its Junior Day on Saturday. Among the attendees was Rivals.com four-star defensive end Deondre Clark of Oklahoma City Douglass. Clark has an offer from the Cowboys, and his older brother, Stevie, has signed with OSU's basketball team.

Signing-day countdown

With 10 days until National Signing Day, OSU's class is being finalized. According to GoPokes.com, OSU appears to have three remaining spots.

The upcoming weekend is the final one before signing day, and running back Dontre Wilson, the seemingly biggest potential commit left, will be on campus. Wilson, a four-star recruit from DeSoto, Texas, has backed off his Oregon commitment and also visited Ohio State this weekend.

Position watch: Safety

Although the Cowboys don't lose any safeties to graduation, they are expected to sign three in this year's class.

Four of the current players at the position will be seniors in the fall, and OSU lost two safeties during last season: Lavocheya Cooper for personal reasons and Isaac Maselera for a violation of team rules.

The Cowboys have verbal commitments from three Texas safeties: Jordan Sterns of Cibolo Steele; Tre Flowers of Converse Judson; and Deric Robertson of Killeen.
