A man who was critically injured in a shooting Monday evening has died, and police have not determined whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.
Police said a man in his late teens to early 20s was shot at a house in the 2400 block of North Boston Place about 8:45 p.m. He was taken by ambulance to St. John Medical Center in very critical condition, Sgt. Bryan Bryden said.
Police said at one point that the man had died at the hospital, but then they corrected that information, saying he was still alive but very critical. Then they said about 11:40 p.m. that he had died.
The man, whose name was not released Monday, was shot in the upper torso, Bryden said.
Detectives were interviewing witnesses Monday night.
