George Flickinger, a meteorologist at KJRH channel 2, is the latest employee of a local TV station to try his hand at a national game show.
Flickinger will appear on the Thursday broadcast of "Let's Ask America," a syndicated game show that features contestants who take part in the game via Skype.
Contestants have to correctly guess the most popular answers to poll questions such as "What would be the best addition to your home?" and "What science fiction character would make the best life coach?"
Thursday's show, which will air at 2:30 p.m. on channel 2, is a special episode featuring four TV meteorologists competing to win money for local charities. Flickinger will play on behalf of the Humane Society of Tulsa.
His competitors will be TV weathermen from stations in Phoenix, Cleveland and Kansas City - cities that, along with Tulsa, are among the 13 markets in which the show can be seen.
