Rebecca Fernandez, senior editor of the website HelloGiggles, will be the featured speaker for the Tulsa Press Club's January "Press Forward" event Tuesday evening.

Fernandez, an OU graduate, will speak about women in the media, focusing on how sites like HelloGiggles are working to create more opportunities for women in the media and how women can capitalize on those opportunities.

According to its website, HelloGiggles is an "online community for women ... covering DIY and crafting projects, beauty, friendship, sex and relationships, pop culture, pets, television and movies, nostalgia, fandom (and) tips on savvy and stylish living."

Fernandez will speak at 6:30 p.m. at the Press Club inside the Atlas Life Building, 415 S. Boston Ave.

The event is $5 for Tulsa Press Club members and $10 for non-members. Call 918-583-7737 to RSVP.
