Letter to the Editor: Makes no sense

Obamacare offered Oklahoma expansion of Medicaid serving 180,000 uninsured Sooners. Why would Gov. Mary Fallin turn it down? Hundreds of medical facilities around the state would benefit from the income serving these clients, and the health of the working poor would be improved. Now the federal taxes paid by Oklahomans will fund Medicaid expansion in other states that accepted the federal aid.
Oklahoma gladly accepts federal money for highways, military bases and the FAA. This was our chance to accept federal money to improve health care. Fallin has ensured continued poor health care for uninsured Oklahomans, and hurt the state economy. Declining it makes no sense, except to reject something with President Obama's name on it.
