Tennis: TU men beat No. 16 Illinois

The No. 24 Tulsa men's squad defeated No. 16 Illinois 4-2 at the Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana, Ill., to pick up its first win of the year on Saturday during a consolation match of National Indoors. TU (1-3) claimed the double point and the first singles point before Illinois rallied to win two singles matches. Experience helped TU win the final two points, as Clifford Marsland won at No. 2 singles and senior Grant Ive at No. 3 singles.
