Nancy McTighe, 66, passed away Wednesday, January 23rd in Chandler, Az. She was born January 2, 1947 in Tulsa, Ok to Lloyd E. and Mary L. (Slaymaker) Muse, Jr. Nancy was a woman of faith, who persevered and was resilient throughout her life. On September 25, 1982 Nancy married Paul F. Mc- Tighe, Jr. in Tulsa, Ok. She attended Nathan Hale High School, Tulsa. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern State University, a Masters of Social Work from University of Oklahoma. She worked for the State of Oklahoma for 15 years as a Social Worker and then a Supervisor. Nancy then managed Paul’s law office for 15 years. Nancy was involved in numerous civic groups which included; Ok Public Employees Association, Distinguished Gold Honor Past Pres. Of Southeast Tulsa Sertoma Club, Life Patron of the Sertoma Foundation, Past Pres. Of Holy Family School Board, Past Pres. Of the Friends of the Maricopa Library, Past member of Maricopa, Az Parks and Library Board, Women of the Golden Hurricane Club, and Resurrection Women’s Club. Nancy was an avid sports fan. She and her husband were long-time season ticket holders for University of Tulsa football and basketball and The Tulsa Drillers. Nancy was a talented seamstress and quilter. She is survived by Husband, Paul F. McTighe, Jr. of both Tulsa, Ok and Maricopa, Az.; Son, Artem P. McTighe of both Tulsa, Ok and Maricopa, Az.; Sisters, Mary Ann Smith and husband Hal of Chandler, Az., Judy L. Thomas of Maricopa, Az.; Sister-In-Law, Mary E. Cohen and husband Robert of Dublin, Ohio, Cousin, Jim Muse and wife Joyce of Huntington Beach, Ca. Preceded in death by parents, Lloyd E. and Mary L. Muse,; Son, David G. Wallingford; daughter, Mary Beth McTighe; Visitation was held 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm, Monday, January 28th, Floral Haven Funeral Home. Rosary was held 7:00 pm, Monday, January 28th, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 29th, Church of the Resurrection, Tulsa, Ok. A Memorial Mass will be held for Nancy in Maricopa, Az. at Our Lady of Grace Parish at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 9, 2013. This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 1/29/2013.
