Junior cruised to a win in the 400-meter freestyle by nearly nine seconds at last week's meet against Booker T. Washington and Mustang. One week earlier at the Frontier Conference meet, Tyler swam a personal-best 1:04.32 to win the 100-yard breaststroke by .01 seconds. Has qualified for state in seven of eight individual events.
