Shock eyes "major business announcement" Thursday

WNBA president Laurel Richie is expected to be in town Thursday for an announcement impacting the Tulsa Shock, a source told the Tulsa World.
The WNBA franchise is touting "a major business announcement" on its Twitter account.
Shock president Steve Swetoha said he was not at liberty to outline specifics, but described the announcement as “a very positive one for the team and the city.”
A press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the BOK Center. Shock guard Scholanda Dorrell is also expected to attend.
