Praises to Debra Beattie, the teacher at the Union Alternative School, who found those beautiful Bernina sewing machines in a storage room and is teaching young girls and young women to sew. She has earned the gratitude and thankfulness of so many people who needed her help.
Why schools discontinue their home economics programs is beyond understanding. There is a great need for the skills learned in such programs.
