Suspect in Tulsa restaurant robberies arrested

A man was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with thea robbery of a Tulsa restaurant earlier in the day.

Daniel Ryan McNamara, 28, was booked into Tulsa Jail on a robbery complaint connected to a heist that occurred about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Subway in the 700 block of West 23rd Street.

McNamara's arrest report says the robber demanded the money in the register and stated that he had a handgun.

An employee was able to get a partial tag number from the vehicle in which the robber fled, according to the document.

McNamara was arrested about 4 p.m. Thursday while getting out of a stolen vehicle in the 5800 block of South 49th West Avenue, the arrest report says.

McNamara had cash in his back pocket and a Subway bag in the front seat, police said in the report.

An employee identified McNamara as the robber, according to the report.

McNamara was also booked into jail on a complaint of robbing the Pie Hole Pizzeria at 2708 E. 15th St. on Monday. During that robbery, a clerk was pepper-sprayed, and cash was taken from a register.

He was also booked on a complaint of possession of a stolen vehicle.
