Newalla man accused of falsifying urine samples

OKLAHOMA CITY - A worker for a lab that contracts with Oklahoma County to perform drug testing is accused of falsifying urine samples for money, court records show.

The lab contracts with Oklahoma County's drug court program, prosecutors said.

John A. Barfield, 24, of Newalla, was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on eight complaints of false preparation of exhibits as evidence and five counts of violating the Oklahoma computer crimes act, records show.

He was released Thursday on $26,000 bail, a detention officer said.
