The Tulsa Performing Arts Center's ticket office, which handling tickets for venues throughout Tulsa and the region, received one of the top awards presented by the International Ticketing Association (INTIX).
The PAC box office was named Outstanding Box Office for 2013, which was presented during INTIX's 34th annual conference held this week in Florida.
PAC Ticket Office Manager Terri McGilbra was at the conference to receive the award on behalf of herself and the nine full- and part-time employees of the ticket office.
The Outstanding Box Office award is given to an organization that demonstrates a high reputation for customer service, excellent leadership and teamwork among its staff, and maintaining a standard of excellence in both its public and internal accounting functions.
INTIX is a non-profit organization representing more than 1,000 venues and ticketing operations worldwide.
John Scott, PAC director, said, "I am grateful to and proud of everyone at the Performing Arts Center who works with and for the ticket office. This recognition reflects well on our staff and the City of Tulsa, and is richly deserved."
The PAC ticket office and its MyTicketOffice website sell tickets for 13 venues in six cities and 2 states.
During the 2012 fiscal year, the PAC ticket office processed $6.9 million in ticket sales, while the MyTicketOffice site handled $19 million in sales during the same period.
"It is an immense job and our staff excels at delivering the highest level of customer service," Scott said.
