16-4 overall, 6-2 Big 12

Catching up: OU split two league games last week, as expected. Last Saturday, the Sooners competed at No. 1 Baylor, but fell 82-65. Guard Aaryn Ellenberg pumped in a season-high 33 points, but the Lady Bears countered with six players in double figures. OU bounced back Wednesday night in Norman with a 74-53 victory over TCU. Ellenberg injured an ankle early in the second half, but the four starters around her picked up their pace and the Sooners cruised.

Player to watch: Nobody picked up her game more than Sharane Campbell on Wednesday. The sophomore guard made five consecutive 3-pointers in the second half en route to a game-high 23 points. "The sky is the limit for this kid," head coach Sherri Coale said in postgame. "If you have to guard her at the 3-point line, then you're in trouble as a defender because she can get to the rim. She has an unbelievable first step. That really puts defenders in a quandary."

Notes

Ellenberg injured: The Sooners were already missing Whitney Hand, Maddie Manning, Kaylon Williams and Lyndsey Cloman for the rest of the season, when Ellenberg went down Wednesday night.

"She's fine," Coale said afterward. "Honestly, I thought it was her shoulder. She's had some shoulder issues. It didn't strike me that it might be her lower leg. Morgan (Hook) came running over saying, 'It's her ankle! It's her ankle!' We're so excited when it's just an ankle. She'll probably be off of it for a couple days, but she'll be fine."

"I remember looking up at the clock and thinking, 'Wow, we have 17 minutes left and Aaryn is hurt?' " forward Joanna McFarland said. "Then we just went off and we didn't even really notice that she wasn't on the court. That makes a big statement about our team right there."

Good signs: Guard Jasmine Hartman has had a quiet senior season. Wednesday, however, she broke out with a career-high nine assists in 27 minutes. Hartman and Morgan Hook combined for 17 assists and three turnovers against TCU. Also, freshman guard Nicole Kornet hit a 3-pointer for the first time since OU's victory over UC Riverside on Dec. 20.
