A 4-year-old Sapulpa girl was killed and two other people were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Creek County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Temperance Aimsworth died of injures she suffered Friday while traveling with family on Oklahoma 33, the OHP said.
Michelle Aimsworth, 32, of Sapulpa, was heading east on Oklahoma 33 in a 2008 Toyota Yaris at 5:30 p.m. when she slowed to make a left turn and was rear-ended by a 1993 Ford Ranger driven by Mitchell James, 22, of Kellyville, the OHP said.
Temperance Aimsworth was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital listed in critical condition before succumbing to her injuries Saturday night, troopers said.
Hannah Aimsworth, 9, also a passenger in the Toyota Yaris, suffered head, truck, arm and leg injuries, troopers said. She was listed in stable condition at Saint Francis Hospital.
Michelle Aimsworth was not injured, OHP said.
James was treated for minor injuries at St. John Hospital in Sapulpa and later released.
Troopers reported both drivers and Hannah Aimsworth were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision. Temperance Aimsworth was not wearing a seat belt, the OHP reported.
The report does not indicate if she was in a child safety seat.
