Oral Roberts University will learn the identity of its BracketBuster opponent when pairings for the event are unveiled Monday.

Thirteen of the 61 BracketBuster games - ESPN is in charge of the matchmaking process - will be televised on ESPN networks, and ORU, for exposure's sake, would like to land in a TV game.

The deemed-TV-worthy BracketBuster games will be announced on ESPNU at 4:30 p.m. Monday. The other 48 games will be announced by way of a news release at approximately 5 p.m. Monday.

BracketBuster games will be played Friday, Feb. 22 or Saturday, Feb. 23. Every Southland Conference team will participate. ORU, Central Arkansas, Lamar and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi have been designated as home teams for the event. McNeese State, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana and Stephen F. Austin will face BracketBuster opponents on the road.

ORU beat Akron 67-61 in a televised BracketBuster game last year. ESPN has announced that the 11th annual BracketBuster event, at least in its present form, will be the last.

Eagle in the crowd: ORU signee Dederick Lee, a senior guard from Clarksville, Ark., graced the "Faces in the Crowd" section of the Super Bowl preview issue of Sports Illustrated.

Lee was honored for being the third basketball player in Arkansas high school history to score 2,500 career points.

Jersey tribute: In addition to wearing "KT" commemorative patches in memory of former ORU coach Ken Trickey, who died in December, Golden Eagle players are wearing jerseys featuring gold ribbon patches. The gold ribbons are in memory of Patsy Sutton, the mother of ORU head coach Scott Sutton and assistant coach Sean Sutton. Patsy Sutton died Jan. 8.
