Javan Scott McIlroy, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 in Tulsa. Javan was born March 3, 1972 in Dallas. Aside from working at AA Headquarters in Fort Worth, Javan spent most of his working life in the Hospitality industry which included The Worthington Hotel; Mgr. of Big Apple Bagel Co., both in Fort Worth; Disney World Hotels, Anaheim; Hôtel St. Germain, Dallas; Summerside Winery, Vinita OK. There is no doubt that Javan brought Joy and Laughter in the lives of Family and Friends and they returned Joy and Laughter to him. Javan was preceded in death by his father, Dennis McIlroy and his paternal grandparents, Scott and Madge McIlroy of Vernon, Tx. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Ishmael McIlroy and her companion, Roger Bartlett; one sister, Heather McIlroy Whaley, Dallas, TX; maternal grandparents Kenneth Ishmael and Annabel Griffin Ishmael, Tulsa, OK; Aunts, Uncles and a host of Cousins. For aiding with his health the last few months, a special thank you to Jean Heath, Dr. Clinton Smith and Marla Smith of Owasso and the entire Staff of Clarehouse in Tulsa. Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 5th & Cincinnati, Tulsa, Sat., Feb. 9, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Javan’s name to Clarehouse, Tulsa, OK.
