Lorin R. Hedrick was born December 3, 1922 in Tulsa, Ok. He went to be with the Lord January 30, 2013. Preceded in death by his parents, Sam & Elba Hedrick and his first wife Joyce Hedrick of 42 years. Lt. Lorin Hedrick served in the Army Air Corps as a fighter pilot during WWII. After his honorable discharge, he graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Tulsa. In 1987, he retired from the Internal Revenue Service and then worked for the Oklahoma Tax Commission. For 67 yrs he was a member of several organizations: the American Legion during which he directed for veterans the funeral detail, Tulsa Elks Club, Lodge #946, serving in many offices including Past Exalted Ruler and with the Boy Scouts of American receiving the Order of the Arrow and the Founder’s Award for his outstanding service, touching and changing many young men’s lives. He was a member of Will Roger United Methodist church. Lorin is survived by: his wife, Verna of 22 yrs of the home; sons, Wesley (Skip) and Carol Hedrick of Tulsa, Ray and Lynn Hedrick of Phoenix, AZ; his daughters, Pam and Rick (spouse) McCleanhan and Linda Crow of Tulsa, OK; 4 grandchildren; 2 greatgrandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, 1-4 at Moore’s Rosewood . Funeral will be held 10:00 AM Monday at Will Rogers United Methodist Church followed by Military burial at Floral Haven Cemetery.
