John Christopher Crist, “J. C.” of Myrtle Beach, S. Carolina was born August 20, 1960 in Bethesda, Md. He died January 19, 2013 in Tulsa, Ok. of cancer. While a young man, he did modeling in New York City, and was featured often in Gentlemen’s Quarterly. He went to work for IBM in 1984, and rose to the position of Federal Marketing Manager. During his career there, he won the IBM Service Award, representing the highest level of individual excellence. His hobbies were competing in Triathlons and raising and training his two prize Dobermans, Bart and Madeline Claire. He also served as President and CEO of the Montgomery County Humane Society. He is survived by: his father, Lewis R. Crist (Connie); his mother, Jo-Ann Crist- Power (Mark); a brother, Michael L. Crist; a sister, Karen L. Crist; nephews, Cole, Daniel and Joseph; and his best friends, Paul and Susan Shore. He was loved by many. The family wishes to thank everyone at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Ok. for their kind and loving treatment of J.
