Alan Lewis Sharkis, 10- 16-39 through 01-31-13, has passed on from his 7 year battle with cancer. He was very proud of his Army service, having received the Bronze Star, among other medals, in Vietnam. Alan was an active member of Community Theater in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, and Grove. He loved retirement on Grand Lake, actively boating, fishing, water skiing, tennis, snow skiing, and participating in the Grand Lake Coast Guard Auxiliary. His dry sense of humor will be sorely missed by all that knew him. This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 2/3/2013.
