BRIGGS - A Briggs man was in critical condition Sunday after he was severely injured in an explosion that destroyed his home Saturday night.
The explosion happened about 7 p.m. near Oklahoma 51, about 200 yards from a grocery store, Cherokee County Undersheriff Jason Chennault said.
Jeff Saddler, 50, was flown to a Tulsa hospital with third-degree burns. No other injuries were reported.
No other homes were damaged by the explosion, Chennault said.
Investigators believe the explosion might have been triggered by a propane leak, he said.
Briggs is about six miles east of Tahlequah in Cherokee County.
