Key play: Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco throws a 13-yard touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin on 3rd-and-4 on the opening drive of the game. The Ravens went 62 yards in 2:29 to take the lead.
Key stat: In what would become a theme for the game, the Ravens were 3-of-4 on third-down conversions, including a 30-yard pass from Flacco to Anquan Boldin on 3rd-and-7 from the Baltimore 36 with 1:31 left in the quarter.The 49ers went 1-for-3 on third down.
Number to know: 10, the number of yards the 49ers lost in three downs after Colin Kaepernick's 24-yard pass to Vernon Davis gave them a first down at the Ravens' 8-yard line with 6:01 left in the quarter.

Key play: Rookie 49ers running back LaMichael James fumbles at Baltimore's 25-yard line while straining to gain extra yards with 12:04 left in the quarter. Linebacker Courtney Upshaw punched the ball loose, and defensive lineman Arthur Jones recovered it. Baltimore drives 75 yards and Flacco tosses his second TD pass of the game, a 1-yarder to Dennis Pitta, for a 14-3 lead.
Key stat: Flacco's 192 passing yards and three touchdowns in the first half.
Number to know: 11. Flacco's 56-yard scoring pass to Jacoby Jones with 1:58 to go gives him 11 touchdown passes and zero interceptions this postseason, tying Joe Montana's record for the most TD passes thrown without an interception in a single postseason.

Key play: Kaepernick's 31-yard touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree with 7:20 left in the quarter seemed to give the 49ers a lift after they had fallen into a 22-point hole. Crabtree broke through a pair of tackles on his way into the end zone.
Key stat: Jacoby Jones' 108-yard kickoff return to open the second half set an NFL record for longest play in the postseason.
Number to know: 34, as in the 34-minute power outage when most of the lights in the 73,000-seat Superdome went out with 13:22 left in the quarter and the Ravens leading 28-6. Officials said the outage appeared to originate in a failure of equipment maintained by stadium staff.

Key stat: The Ravens held the ball for 9:26 in the fourth quarter as they drove for a pair of field goals, including a 10-play possession that took 5:38 off the clock and ended in Justin Tucker's 38-yard kick to give them a five-point advantage.
Number to know: 7. Total tackles - four solo - for Ray Lewis in the final game of the standout middle linebacker's 17-year career.
