ORU's Luper named Southland's player of week

Kevi Luper of Oral Roberts University has been named the Southland Conference women’s basketball player of the week.

The senior guard from Adair averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals last week as the Golden Eagles evened their record at 10-10 with a sweep of Nicholls State and Southeastern Louisiana.

Luper won the Southland Conference’s weekly award for the third time this season. She won player of the week honors 14 times during three seasons of competition in the Summit League.

Luper enters a two-game road trip this week with 2,632 career points and 427 career steals, which rank 31st and 11th, respectively, in Division I history.
