Firefighter training sends smoke across west, downtown Tulsa

A joint training session at HollyFrontier refinery sent plumes of smoke over west and downtown Tulsa on Tuesday morning.
Firefighters from the Tulsa, Sand Springs and Broken Arrow fire departments are completing training on how to extinguish flammable liquid fires, at the site, 1700 S. Union Ave., said TFD spokesman Capt. Stan May.
“They have a great training facility out there,” May said.
Another training session is set for Tuesday afternoon.
