BROKEN ARROW - Broken Arrow completed the season sweep of Jenks on Tuesday by knocking off the Trojans 66-52.
In what Tiger head coach Rusty Stecker called his team's most complete game, the Tigers took a 21-20 lead with 4:07 left in the second quarter and never looked back.
"This is the first game where we've put all four quarters together," Stecker said.
Jenks (14-6) made runs at Broken Arrow in the third quarter, but the Tigers always had an answer. Jenks pulled within three at 37-34 with 2:36 left in the quarter, but Broken Arrow responded with a 9-4 run to take an eight-point lead going into the final quarter.
"We kept trading baskets, and then we end up getting another run and Jenks didn't; that was crucial," Stecker said on his team's third-quarter burst.
Broken Arrow was able to pull away in the fourth quarter outscoring Jenks 20-14.
Broken Arrow (14-4) was led by Jordan Huffman and Dontae Campbell, who finished with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Senior Jordan Phelps had 13 points, 10 of which came in the second half.
Steven Parker paced Jenks with 17 points.
Broken Arrow 67, Jenks 54 (girls): Broken Arrow jumped out to a 10-0 lead and was able to defeat Jenks.
Jenks pulled within 59-54 with just over two minutes to go, but Broken Arrow buckled down and held the Trojans scoreless going away.
Junior Toree Thompson led Broken Arrow with 24 points. Three others finished in double figures.
Jenks standout and North Carolina signee Jessica Washington led all scorers with 31 points. No other Lady Trojan finished with more than four points.
