Signing day: East Central's Stanvon Taylor stays busy Wednesday while signing with OU

Stanvon Taylor was a man on the move Wednesday afternoon as he went right from signing to play football with the University of Oklahoma to basketball practice at East Central.
Taylor, the Tulsa World 2012 All-Metro player of the year, is excited to be teammates at OU with Booker T. Washington’s Dominique Alexander and Jenks’ Jordan Smallwood, who each signed with the Sooners on Wednesday.
“We’ve gotten pretty close over the past year and I feel great about the opportunity to play with those guys,” Taylor said.
Taylor was a standout at wideout and defensive back for East Central, but will focus on defense with the Sooners.
“I feel very comfortable there,” Taylor said.
