Lavalle Wood Wade was born on June 29, 1918, in Athens, Louisiana to Jeff and Verna Wood. She passed from this life on February 3, 2013, in Tulsa, OK at the age of 94 years. She attended Louisiana Tech and graduated with a business degree from Draughons Business College. She married Ralf Wade in 1946, and the two were married for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four sisters. She was an active member of Skelly Drive Baptist Church in Tulsa, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her nieces Mary Griffin of Arcadia, LA; Janette Keen of Minden, LA; Angela Hunt of Dallas, TX; Mary Hunt of Pryor, OK, Linda and John Moore of Littleton, CO and Sharon Anglin of Vicksburg, MS, nephews Reed Griffin, his wife Mary and their daughter Ansley of West Monroe, LA, Gary Hunt of Pryor, OK and Wally and Joanie Wade of Alamo, CA. Extended family Mark and Stephanie Farquhar of Tulsa, OK; Mark Jr. and Kim Farquhar and children of Tulsa, OK; Jeff and Aimee Farquhar and children of Tulsa, OK and Beth and Kenny Petrashek of Stillwater, OK. Viewing will be Wednesday February 6, from 8am-9pm, at Moore’s Eastlawn Funeral Home in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at Skelly Drive Baptist Church in Tulsa, on Thursday, February 7, at 1pm.
