OKLAHOMA CITY - Change is coming to Class 6A football. Now it's up to the schools to determine what that will entail.
The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association board of directors voted unanimously Wednesday to approve a proposal that will alter the format of 6A football.
The proposal from the OSSAA constitution and rules review committee includes two separate plans, and the Class 6A schools will vote to decide which plan they will adopt to be put in place for the start of the 2014 football season.
The proposal does not include an option to keep 6A football as it is, so the class will be altered, no matter what.
