The state Department of Agriculture reported the following closing prices Wednesday:

U.S. No 1 HARD RED WINTER WHEAT: .01 to .23 higher. 7.35-8.05.

Davis 7.35, Shattuck 7.53, Frederick 7.55, Okeene 7.59, Alva, Buffalo, Hooker, Temple 7.63, Keyes, Lawton 7.64, Hobart, Manchester 7.65, Cherokee, Medford, Ponca City 7.68, Perry, Stillwater 7.69, Banner, El Reno, Geary, Okarche, Watonga 7.74, Clinton, Weatherford 7.80, Eldorado 8.05, Gulf 8.495.

MILO: .10 to .12 lower. 11.48-12.55.

CANOLA (CWT) (New Crop) n/a cwt.: Apache, Blackwell, Enid, Clyde, Hillsdale, El Reno, Dacoma, Yukon n/a.

COTTON: Grade 41, Leaf 4, Staple 34 Cotton in southwestern Oklahoma averaged 73.50 cents per pound.

EGGS: Large 1.52; medium 1.15; small 96 cents.

Oklahoma livestock

The state Department of Agriculture reported the following prices Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 7,622; week ago: 6,951; year ago: 6,151.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers mostly steady with exception of 800 lb and heavier steers trading 1 to 3 lower. Steer and heifer calves steady to 3 higher, with 4 weight heifer calves up to 10 higher. Demand moderate to good for all classes. Quality plain to average, few attractive. Feeder cattle in moderate to fleshy conditions. Weigh-ups mostly average. Receipts this week totaled 75 percent over 600 lbs and 39 percent heifers.
