Oral Roberts University will soon be crowning a new assist queen.
Senior point guard Jaci Bigham enters a Thursday game at Northwestern State needing only three assists to pass Leah Cannon as ORU's career leader in assists. Bigham has 601 assists. Cannon collected 603 during a career that ended in 2006.
Bigham leads the Southland Conference and ranks sixth nationally in assists this season. She averages 7.1 per game.
Also, Bigham needs 55 points to become one of the top 10 career scorers in program history.
ORU enters this week in a three-way tie for second place in the Southland Conference standings with Lamar and McNeese State.
