Tulsa man charged with molestation of 15-year-old

A Tulsa man was charged Friday with lewd molestation and making a lewd proposal to a minor whom he reportedly picked up in his car last Saturday.
Marvin Maurice Townsend, 57, is charged in Tulsa County District Court with illegally touching and making a lewd proposal to a 15-year-old girl.
A police report states that Townsend had given a ride to the girl and a 14-year-old girl, both of whom had been reported to the Tulsa Police Department as runaways.
The alleged crimes purportedly occurred in the area of Pine Street and Detroit Avenue, according to the charges.
Townsend remained in the Tulsa Jail as of Friday evening.
