16-5 overall, 5-5 Big 12
Catching up: After back-to-back losses, the No. 22 Cowgirls rebounded with a 76-59 victory Tuesday against TCU, which is winless in conference play. Next up is Bedlam in Norman on Sunday.
Player to watch: Against the Horned Frogs, senior forward Toni Young had 18 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks. She needs seven blocks to become the leading blocker in program history. She has scored in double digits in 29 consecutive games.
Notes
Shut-down defense: TCU guard Zahna Medley, a three-time Big 12 Rookie of the Week, was held significantly below her season scoring average against OSU. Tiffany Bias limited Medley to two points on 1-of-7 shooting.
"I just knew that she was a freshman that had been playing well," Bias said. "You have to slow her down at the beginning. You don't want her to get on a run, get fast-breaks or let her get her step-back 3s."
Aside from Natalie Ventress, who scored 24 points, the Horned Frogs shot 23 percent.
Bias led OSU with 19 points and also had eight assists and five steals.
"She's one of my favorite players to watch in the league," TCU coach Jeff Mittie said.
Winning big: All five of the Cowgirls' conference wins have been by double figures.
They rank seventh nationally in scoring with 77.5 points per game.
