Catching up: During one of its better performances of the season, the Golden Hurricane opened the second half with a 21-5 run and went on to record a 78-56 Conference USA victory at Southern Miss on Sunday. Special event: In commemoration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the TU women's program has planned a special event for Sunday at the Reynolds Center. The arena doors will open at 12:30 p.m. Several vendors will display items for sale. At 2, the Hurricane faces Tulane in a Conference USA contest. A fashion show is scheduled for halftime. Tickets are priced at $5.

Dominant Hurricane: Offensive balance and 53 percent shooting from the field vaulted Tulsa to its 22-point road win at Southern Miss.
