Northwestern State defeats ORU women

Oral Roberts University was held scoreless for the final 2:51 of the game as Northwestern State pulled away for a 67-63 win in women's college basketball Thursday in Natchitoches, La.
The Lady Demons took the lead for good with 4:38 remaining, as Janelle Perez hit a 3-pointer to put Northwestern State ahead 62-61. Kevi Luper hit a layup with 2:51 remaining to pull ORU within one at 64-63, but the Golden Eagles missed their final four shots.
Luper scored a team-high 19 points, and Jaci Bigham added 16 for ORU (10-11, 7-4 Southland Conference). Bigham had two assists and is tied for the ORU career record at 603.
