Gay Wines Kimball, age 85, of Tremont Park Circle, SE, Lenoir, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care – Lenoir. She was born December 6, 1927 in Hutchinson, Kansas to the late Donald Bradford and Janet Agnes Rollo Wines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kent Turner Kimball; sister, Mary Stauss; and one brother, Donald Wines. Mrs. Kimball moved with her husband to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she lived many years as a homemaker. After raising her two boys, she became re-involved with her art work. In 1984, she moved to Ft. Myers, where she began to paint Florida wildlife and scenery, and was very active in the Ft. Myers Art League. She was an avid card- player, especially Bridge and had become very adept at painting with oils and pastels, before relocating to Lenoir in 2010. Survivors include two sons, Kent Bradford Kimball and wife Sharon of Lenoir and Richard Curtis Kimball and wife Cathy of Raleigh; and two grandchildren, Nicholas Kimball and Brandon Kimball. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Caldwell Senior Center, P.O.
