Mannford senior signs: Chase Terrell, a three-year Pirate letterman, is headed to play baseball at Allen County Community College in Iola, Kan. He has played outfield and first base and is slated for catching duty this year. As a junior, Terrell batted .418 with eight home runs.
Saints interview Rob Ryan for coordinator role: Former Dallas Cowboys assistant Rob Ryan has interviewed with the New Orleans Saints for their vacant defensive coordinator job. The team said Ryan met with coach Sean Payton on Friday.
Six Sooners, two Cowboys invited to NFL Combine: The NFL released the list of 333 college players invited to the 2013 Scouting Combine, set to begin Feb. 20 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Six players from Oklahoma - defensive back Tony Jefferson, offensive lineman Lane Johnson, quarterback Landry Jones, defensive lineman Stacy McGee, wideout Kenny Stills and linebacker Tom Wort - are on the list, as are Oklahoma State running back Joseph Randle and placekicker Quinn Sharp.
OU's Ricketts no-hits Stanford in opener: Oklahoma senior pitcher Keilani Ricketts, the reigning USA Softball Player of the Year, threw her second career no-hitter, with 14 strikeouts, and hit a solo home run in the first inning as No. 2 Oklahoma defeated No. 21 Stanford, 6-0, in a season-opening win at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. In the second game, Michelle Gascoigne struck out nine in a 14-2 win over Oregon State. The Sooners had six home runs in the two games, with Lauren Chamberlain getting three of them.
TU opens with two wins: Junior outfielder Haley Henshaw drove in three runs in two games to lead Tulsa to wins over No. 22 North Carolina, 3-1, and Hampton, 3-0, at the Tiger Classic in Baton Rouge, La. Senior Lacey Middlebrooks earned the win against Hampton with a one-hit shutout. Junior Aimee Creger picked up the complete-game win against North Carolina.
Cowboys finish ninth: Oklahoma State's men's team closed with a 1-under 287 to finish ninth at the Amer Ari Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The Cowboys' 54-hole total of 855, 9-under par, was one back of Auburn for eighth. Junior Sam Leeposted a 69 to come in as OSU's top finisher, tying for 20th at 214.
OU men defeat Tulsa: The No. 8 Oklahoma men's team (5-1) defeated No. 17 Tulsa (3-4), 5-1, at the Gregg Wadley Indoor Pavilion in Norman.

OU records third-highest score in team history: The No. 2 Oklahoma women's squad finished a sweep of the Big 12 regular season with a win over Iowa State, 197.625-194.675 in Ames, Iowa. The Sooners' score was its third-highest in program history and broke its season-high team score for the second straight week.
OU's Dalton third in Winter Cup prelims: Former OU gymnast and 2012 Olympian Jake Dalton finished third in the all-around in the preliminary round of the 2013 Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas, Nev. Dalton recorded an all-around score of 85.400.
