A Tulsa man was arrested on accusations he choked and punched his 13-year-old son while trying to discipline him.

Terry Landrum, 39, was booked into the Tulsa Jail late Friday on a single child abuse by injury complaint, jail records show.

The alleged incident took place at a residence in the 100 block of West 65th Place North just before 7 p.m., an arrest report said.

The 13-year-old boy told police Landrum held him down on the floor with his knee and punched him in face multiple times, the report said.

The victim also informed officers that Landrum "used his hands to choke him," said the report.

Officers wrote in the report observing marks on the boy's face, behind his left ear and neck. The boy also complained of hearing loss as a result of being struck in the left ear, police said.

He was taken to Hillcrest Medical Center for examination, where it was determined the boy suffered a perforated left ear drum, police said.

Landrum posted bail on a $50,000 bond and was released from the Tulsa Jail Saturday.
