Can anyone explain to me the difference between a large political contribution and a bribe? We used to have laws that limited how much individuals and cooperation's could contribute to political campaigns. Then the courts decided that money was speech, which, I think, had the effect of legalizing bribery.
It seems clear to me that money is property, not speech.
