Letter to the Editor: Bias showing

The Tulsa World headline writer's bias is showing. There was no legitimate reason for the writer to put quotes around the word "diverse" in a Feb. 4 headline. He or she just had to interject a snide opinion that the diverse makeup of the new, Republican-dominated Oklahoma Legislature does not fit the writer's personal criterion as to what constitutes diversity.
But maybe that is what we should expect from the Tulsa World, with its usual "objective" news stories about topics like school choice and abortion.
Opinions belong on the editorial page, not in the news headlines.
