Signing day: Kelley's Zach Washington signs with William Jewell

Bishop Kelley's Zach Washington became Kelley’s 15th football signee over the last eight years on Wednesday.
Washington signed with William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo.
Dartmouth, Stetson, Hendrix, Ark., Southwestern, Kan., and Central Okla., had all sought Washington’s talent, too.
“After the location, I was looking at the prestige of the school and major programs (to make my selection),” said Washington, who played defensive back, wide receiver and returned kicks for Kelley.
Recruiting can be a time consuming affair. Through it all, Washington “stayed in contact. Kept my options open and was up front with them (recruiters).”
