Signing day: Jenks' Kristen Cardano signs with SEC champion Florida

Jenks soccer player Kristen Cardano could have gone almost anywhere in the country, and she chose one of the best.
Florida's soccer team won the Southeastern Conference championship last fall and went to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Cardano was born in Tampa and has relatives in the Sunshine State and visits regularly.
“I’ve always loved the Gators,” she said.
She also considered Texas and Oklahoma among her top three schools, but when she learned she had an opportunity to play at Florida, it was a done deal.
