Memorial defensive end Wess Bowman missed the first part of the season when he transferred from Cascia Hall, but made an impact when he was eligible.
He signed with Northeastern State in Tahlequah.
Bowman might also play some tight end in college.
Bowman enjoyed his visit to Tahlequah and “felt like I fit in and was part of the team.”
Missouri Southern, Pittsburg State, Kansas State and Arkansas also showed interest.
“I felt comfortable when I went there,” Bowman added of his recruiting visit. “It felt like home.”
Bowman’s parents attended Northeastern State and that helped him make his decision.
Bowman becomes the third member of the family to sign letters of intent. Dad, Jerry, was a wrestler and sister, Samantha Chrisman, currently plays catcher for the Oklahoma State softball team.
