Signing day: For Memorial's Joe Bell, Alva community was appealing

Memorial middle linebacker Joe Bell Jr. picked Northwestern in Alva, Okla., among a trio of schools that included McPherson, Kan., and Northeastern A&M in Miami, Okla.
“I fit in there,” Bell said of one of his reasons for going to Alva. “I love the community and the things to do.”
Bell becomes the second family member to sign a letter of intent. His dad, Joe Bell, Sr., ran track and field at Fairleigh-Dickinson University in Madison, N.J.
