Noah Berryhill just got a chance to continue his football career when he was contacted last week by Central Oklahoma.

After a visit Saturday, the school contacted the Sapulpa right tackle on Monday, informing him that he would be a walk-on.

Berryhill is grateful for the chance.

“It’s very overwhelming,” Berryhill said. “I felt like I made the right decision and I’m happy.”

And there are obstacles.

“We had to look at it financially,” Berryhill said. “My mom is a single parent.

“But after finding out financially, looking at the ball park, we decided we can do it.”

Nevertheless, he has a positive outlook on his future.

“I envision a lot of good things,“ Berryhill said. “I imagine me starting my sophomore year. My size isn’t too great right now, but I’m going to work on that when I get there. I feel like the program they (UCO) have me on will help.”

“Noah has been a very consistent player in our program,” Sapulpa coach Mike Gottsch said. “He has been a relentless worker in the offseason and has shown remarkable skill at his position the last couple of years. I am very excited about his opportunity to continue his education and play college football at UCO.”
