OSU tops Texas in second straight road win

AUSTIN, Texas -- For the first time since 2009, Oklahoma State has won back-to-back Big 12 road games.
The 22nd-ranked Cowboys picked up their fifth straight victory by defeating Texas 72-59 at the Erwin Center on Saturday afternoon.
OSU (17-5, 7-3 Big 12) was led by freshman star Marcus Smart, who had 23 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists.
Markel Brown scored 17 and Le'Bryan Nash added 14.
Ioannis Popapetrou had 15 points for the Longhorns (10-13, 2-8).
The win was the first for the Cowboys in Austin in nine seasons. They next visit Texas Tech at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
